Knit terms to remember ~ Increased eyes and reduced eyes ~

source:https://www.tadapic.com/blackjack.php

Hello, I’m Tazawa, a new employee of Maruyasu Yarn.

It’s already December ~

I received an early Christmas gift this year.

that is·····

Do you know this person?

That’s right! This is my favorite Ann Demeulemeester !!

Actually, there was an event in Ginza the other day, and I had the opportunity to meet Anne (call me like a friend) in person !!

It’s okay to just meet

I went with that feeling …

Get an autograph …

I had them take a picture … ^^

Maybe I’ve used up my lifelong luck.

Ah, my future life is …

By the way, this time is a blog about knit terms that are often used in molding ^^

Molding is indispensable for knitting, isn’t it?

When you actually compare the cut and the molding, the difference becomes apparent.

If it is a cut, it often kills the goodness of the knit.

Cost due to elasticity, pattern matching, and cut loss.

This time, I will explain the terms that are most used when molding

Molding

First of all, do you know about molding?

Molded knitting is a knitting method that is knitted according to each pattern (front body, back body, sleeves, etc.).

As a feature, it can be knitted according to the pattern, so the first thing you can do is reduce the waste of yarn.

Popularly

“No cut loss”

That is the one.

And as a process, it is possible to omit the cutting process and to match the pattern neatly.

increase

・ Push up

How to increase one by one at the edge.

It’s the least time-consuming because I just knit the needle at the end, but it’s not very beautiful because I can’t read through it by linking.

I tried knitting a knitted fabric with a home machine for the first time in a long time (laughs)

Please see the photo.

Do you see that the eyes are increasing one by one?

This is the easiest and fastest of the increase. (It was easy to knit ^^ lol)

However, since it cannot be sharpened, it will affect the quality of the finished product.

・ Increase inside

A method of increasing one stitch at a time inside the knitting edge.

The feature is that it looks like a lace pattern because there are holes in the increased parts.

I also tried knitting the knitted fabric.

How is it?

The atmosphere has changed again !!

As you can see, the lace is included and it can be sharpened.

It is good to use it when you want to put a design in AH etc. ^ ^

・ Additional

Up to the middle, the same increase method as internal increase.

If you increase the inside, there will be a hole, but if you increase the number, you will increase it so as to close the hole, so there will be no hole.

Please see the photo.

Unlike the internal increase, there are no holes and it is sharpened.

This is the method of increasing the number that can be finished in the most elegant way.

Reduce

・ Reduction outside

How to reduce the number of stitches at the edges.

As with pushing up, you can’t look through by linking.

Please see the photo.

It is the easiest and hassle-free method to reduce.

However, as with pushing up, it cannot be sharpened, so it will be refined.

・ Reduction

How to reduce inside the knitting edge.

It can also be used as a design by reducing it inside the finished line.

The sharpening of the sleeves is organized by this reduction method.

Please see the photo.

Doesn’t it look very elegant and beautiful unlike the edge reduction? ^^

It just takes a little time ~ > <

・ Large reduction (Oberashi)

This is the most time-consuming reduction method.

Mainly used as darts and design points.

Please see the photo.

You can see that this is also different from other reductions ~

However, it takes the most effort to reduce it.

But you can make the design stronger! !!

The feature is that the eyes are directed toward the center.

・ Face down

How to reduce your eyes right next to you.

If you look closely at the bottom of the AH bite on the body, can you see that it is flat?

It is often used on the bottom of the bite or in the center of each neckline.

Please see the photo.

Your eyes are decreasing at once.

Use a bind-off at the beginning of the reduction to smooth the AH and the curve of the neckline.

Lastly

How is it?

There are various knit terms, so it’s difficult, and I don’t have a chance to know it.

Even if you only know one term at a meeting etc., I think it will be very smooth ^ ^

When you forget it again

“Oh, by the way, there was an explanation of terms on that blog ~”

Please come and see me again when you think about it !!

see you~
